Winemakers

Chris and Dawn Loeliger created TruthTeller Winery after years of practice drinking wine.  One memory from their early days together in Dallas, Texas involves an earnest conversation with a wine merchant about which wines might taste best in their aluminum camping cups.  Their learning journey has been a long and joyful one. They started making wine, first in garages and backyard sheds, then later in their production facility in Woodinville.

More about Chris…

Chris grew up in Tokyo, returning to the US for college, where he studied aerospace engineering.  Entrepreneurial and adventurous at heart, his personal journey has led him through the Peace Corps, aerospace and defense, electronics, a home renovation business, real estate and wine.  Chris attended the Northwest Wine Academy at South Seattle Community College.

More about Dawn…

Dawn grew up in Georgia.  Her business experience includes strategy, marketing, sales, consulting and innovation development.  She is excited to bring all that experience together to build TruthTeller Winery with Chris.

And more…

As you see on the home page, the name TruthTeller was derived from both a family name and strong family traits.  Chris and Dawn’s immediate family includes sons Andrew and Keith, Keith’s wife Cassee, and their beautiful children, Zane and Temperance.  (Yes, the winemaker’s granddaughter is named Temperance.)  Andrew, Keith and Cassee all pitch in on winery work from time to time, and Zane and Temperance think running up and down the barrel rows and riding on the forklift with Papa (Chris) is about as fun as it gets.
